Card Order Matters

Hello 3P Traveler,

Quick question - have you ever applied for a travel credit card and wondered if you were doing it in the right order?

Most people haven't thought about the order at all. And that mistake can cost you access to the best cards on the market.

Here's what you need to know: Chase has a rule called 5/24. If you've opened five or more credit cards from any bank in the last 24 months, Chase will deny you for most of their best cards. And Chase has the most valuable beginner cards available - the ones that unlock Hyatt, United, and Air France.

So you apply for Chase first. Always. Before Amex, before Capital One, before anyone else.

The card I recommend starting with is the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Low annual fee, massive welcome bonus, and it transfers to more airline and hotel partners than almost anything else in your wallet.

If you're ready to apply, you can do it here: Apply Here

Not ready yet? No pressure. Sit with it, read the full breakdown on the blog, and apply when it feels right. The link will always be there.
